Week 1 ofThe CSA Cookbook Road Tripis now a wrapper ! And what an adventure it ’s been . The tripper start out out strong and dry in Southern Nevada and across the Utah desert … but as shortly as we went over Vail Pass , the temperature gauge dropped to 34 ° F and we had Baron Snow of Leicester and rain for our entire halt in Colorado . ( This is May ? ! ) The storm follow us down the Front Range into North Texas , where we ram from Amarillo to Austin with scary semi hand truck going 80 MPH and sending barrels of weewee over our Kia Sedona .
But , we are safe and still enjoying the interminable scenery on the drive . I never knew the Lone Star State could be so luxuriant and fleeceable ! The wild flower are vivid out here . I ’m crossing my fingers for calmer weather as wemake our way across the Souththis calendar week … and next workweek , I hope I ’ll get to meet many of you on my East Coast stops !

Pete ’s Greens ( a certified organic , four - season farm ) will also share info about their CSA programme . Word will be uncommitted for purchase .

I am especially aroused to team up up withKia Motors USAon this risky venture ! They have generously offer to loan me a vehicle for the circuit and I am thankful , thrilled , seriously stoked . For the journeying , I ’ll be putting the2015 Kia Sedona MPVto the ultimate drive run . I ’m talking national scenic byways , back road , and farm road … hundreds of hour on asphalt and rag and belike a little dirt , too . I ’ve never take a Sedona on an adventure before ( which Kia bills as a multi - purpose vehicle , mind you , nota minivan ) , so by the ending of this book tour of duty , we ’ll see how it pile up against an SUV .
