A New England garden is full of flowers and unfurling fern fronds in fall
Happy Monday GPODers !
We ’re starting the week with Robin Hess in Hampton Falls , NH . Robin has shared some gloaming close - ups in the past ( Robin ’s New Hampshire Garden ) , and she ’s back to share what was blooming and unroll this year .
Even in the late season , Robin ’s garden is providing blooms for pollinators that are still working hard . This bight pink ‘ Hot Lips ’ chelone ( Chelonelyonii‘Hot Lips ’ , Zones 3–8 ) is a bright pink beacon against a backcloth of fall foliage .

However , add some more radiant orange to the landscape painting is never a bad approximation either . Robin said this gorgeous mum is the kind ‘ Amber Morning ’ ( Chrysanthemum‘Amber Morning ’ , Zones 5–9 ) .
The aforementioned fronds ! Robin let us sleep with that this is a ‘ The King ’ ostrich fern ( Matteuccia struthiopteris‘The King ’ , zona 3–7 ) , and even the frond are quite statuesque . If you have the space , ‘ The King ’ is a great , bluff clumper for forest garden , growing up to 50 % larger than the straight species .
A unadulterated mound of ‘ Daisy Rose ’ mommy ( Chrysanthemum‘Daisy Rose ’ , Zones 5–9 ) perfectly radiate against the chicken foliation behind , while subtly agree with their yellow centers .

give thanks you so much for sharing her sensational garden and photography with us again , Robin !
