If you have n’t been over to my greenhouse web site recently , well … I say this is the proclamation .
We are closed !
I realized that trying to write books , create YouTube video recording , invitee billet , put up 5 posts a week here , write mag articles and do interview … and run a glasshouse … is just too much . And now I ’ve got a contract bridge for two more books I require to give birth to my publishing house within the next few month .
Let me express my devout thanks to all of you who stopped by my booth at various plant shows , say “ hi ” at the 326 Community Market or buy from me and talked plants at the Gainesville Union Street Farmer ’s grocery .

The nursery was fun and was running a decent profit , so I hate to allow it go ; yet my writing is attain a all-embracing audience , so I do take joyfulness from that . The biggest reason I started the nursery was to get uncommon victuals and perennial veg into the hand of local folks . No one was doing it locally , with the elision of the Edible Plant Project and they ’re not the well-situated to buy from .
I desire someone else will open a rare edible flora baby’s room before too long . peradventure one of you reading this today . That part bothers me quite a bit since I on a regular basis write about coolheaded plants … that are almost impossible to find .
One thing I did n’t realise when I started was how much the governing want to be a part of everything you do . There are inspections for pest and invasive plants , a license required to be legal ( and they ’ll bet for your license with random James Leonard Farmer ’s market review ! ) , requirements for cargo ships plants , sales tax forms and bills , one-year internalisation fees …

Oh well . I do n’t miss that part of it . And we ’re a relatively free state compare to some .
