Out with the grass, in with the flowers
Today we ’re chit-chat Janice ’s beautiful garden .
If you push back down my street in Rock Hill , South Carolina , it wo n’t be long before you recognise my grand . As you come near my home you will see lilies , bee balm(Monarda),and shasta daisies(Leucanthemum× superbum , Zones 4–9 ) standing tall along the pavement and the street .
I began gardening about 10 years ago . All I had were foot shrubs and more grass than I wanted in my yard . I notice how boring and bare the landscape were in my neighbourhood . While visit place like Savannah , Georgia , and Charleston , South Carolina , I noticed how the garden were an extension of the home . People love their outdoor spaces as much as their indoor spaces .

My home sits on about a third of an acre . My program for the futurity is to take away more than one-half of my lawn and replace it with beautiful blossom , plant , and Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree . I would like to also have a fenced area for my vegetable garden to protect my plants from rabbit and cervid .
Lately my biggest winner in the garden has been creating newfangled beds using the sheetmulchingtechnique . At the end of autumn , I smothered the grass with composition board , compost , and mulch . By spring it was ready for planting . Ten years ago , my expectant garden failure was using the doubled - digging method acting to create my first garden plot . That was the first and last time that I used that method acting .
I really love that my neighbour enjoy the flower as much as I do . Several people take the air down my street just to see what is blooming . One morning I looked outdoors and saw two little boys cease to touch and smell the flowers . I opened the threshold to talk to the family . The Fatherhood said that his boy were obsessed with my flower garden . That made me so happy ! I told them to come back when thezinniaswere in bloom so that they could pick some bloom .

Right now my favorite plants are tulip , bee balm , and shasta daisies . My tulip displays this class really were glorious .
During the fall , I spent the weekends searching for discountedbulbs . I hit the jackpot and ended up purchasing and planting over 1000 tulip electric light . It was so much work . I think I would never plant another tulip again , but I knew that was not the Sojourner Truth . I ’ll be right back at it in the fall , looking for the killer deal .
